Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Beijing

Welcome to Beijing! Upon your arrival, our guide will warmly welcome you at the arrival hall of the airport, holding a sign with your name on it. Then you will be escorted to check in at the hotel. For the rest of the day, you can take rest to get recovered from jet lag, or have a stroll around the hotel after settled.

Day 2 Beijing

After breakfast, take a transfer to unveil this China tour package to Shandong at Tiananmen Square - the largest urban square in the world enabling you to admire the Tiananmen Gatetower and Monument to the People's Heroes. Later, we will walk through the Meridian Gate and proceed to admire the well-preserved wooden architectures in Forbidden City, regarded as the quintessence of Chinese ancient imperial buildings. By noontime, enjoy the a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at a popular restaurant, where also offers the famous Peking Duck.

Thereafter, you will be guided to Temple of Heaven. It is not only the site for ancient emperors to pray for good harvest, but also a good place for many locals to conduct recreational activities. And then enjoy the performance of Chinese Kung Fu at the Red Theater.

Day 3 Beijing

Today's China tour to Shandong starts with a visit to Mutianyu Great Wall. Please have a hearty breakfast or prepare some snacks before departure as the lunch is not included by us. After alighting from the vehicle, we will sight-see the spectacular scenery by round-trip cable car. There the boundless majestic walls along roiling mountains will offer you great views to admire. A red wine toasting will be proposed after reaching its top. Then you can eat lunch nearby the scenic area, and our guide will be willing to recommend restaurants. Finally you will be transferred to a famous local market in the city for a short visit.

Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an

In this morning, we will first visit the Summer Palace. In this royal garden, you can catch a nice glimpse of the picturesque Kunming Lake and beautiful buildings on Longevity Hill. Later, take a short stop over the unique Bird's Nest, and you can take photos for memorizing.

After a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price), an amusing Hutong tour with rickshaw and the activity of traditional Chinese Paper-cutting will be arranged.

Then you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Xi'an. Our experienced Xi'an tour guide will pick you up from the airport and help you check in at the hotel.

Day 5 Xi'an

Today we will set out for the eighth wonder of the world - Terracotta Army. When you enter this underground museum, rows of vivid terracotta warriors will greet you martially in the three large pits. After watching the unearthed relics of Qin Empire (221 - 207BC), a return car ride will take you to enjoy a home-cooked a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) in a local family. The hostess of the house will be glad to teach you how to cook Chinese food if you are interested.

We will spend the afternoon paying a visit to Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi'an Museum. At night, please enjoy the wonderful Tang Dynasty Show and delicious dumpling feast.

Day 6 Xi'an - Jinan

After breakfast at the hotel, you will do some physical exercise of Tai Chi with locals at City Wall Park. Later, our guide will accompany you to have a leisure walk on the ancient City Wall. If interested, you can rent a bike for experiencing the cycling at the cost of your own.

Thereafter, we will escort you to the airport to catch the flight to Jinan. Upon your landing, the airport-hotel transfer will be provided by our professional local guide and driver.

Day 7 Jinan - Tai'an

The first stop of this Confucius tour in Jinan is the pretty Daming Lake Park. There both the fascinating lake view and refined pavilions would dazzle your eyes. After the sightseeing, go on this Jinan day trip to Baotu Spring Park, where the tranquil and cool environment will refresh you from body to mind. Then, a 1.5-hour transfer will take you to Mount Taishan, ranked as the top one of the 'Five Sacred Mountains'. The round-trip cable car will be arranged for you to overlook the Taoist and Buddhist temples scattered among the mountain. Next, you will be transferred to check in at a downtown hotel for good rest.

Day 8 Tai'an - Qufu

Today, we will chauffeur you to Qufu in the morning. In this city, the must-see three scenic spots of Confucius Temple, the Confucius Family Mansion and the Cemetery of Confucius would help you get the in-depth experience of the Confucius culture. You can pay your respect to Confucius at Confucius Temple and its large-scale Family Mansion is just the dwelling houses of Confucius's family members. At about night, the guide will help you check in at a local hotel.

Day 9 Qufu - Shanghai

In the early morning, we will set out for viewing the characteristic ceremony of city gate opening in Qufu. Then you will be escorted to the railway station for a 3.5-hour high-speed train to Shanghai. Our Shanghai tour guide will pick you up upon your arrival, and send you to the hotel for a good rest.

Day 10 Shanghai

We will spend the morning watching the treasured cultural relics in Shanghai Museum, catching the great rockery, elegant chambers and halls at Yu Garden as well as wandering the bustling streets along Old City God Temple. Around noon, you will enjoy an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) at a popular local restaurant.

After lunch, we will guide you to explore the Former French Concession. Then a one-hour cruise tour along the Huangpu River will be arranged for you to indulge in the romantic and alluring view of the city. You will also have some free time to enjoy yourself at the Bund full of classic skyscrapers. Afterwards, our guide will send you back to the hotel and say farewell to you.

Day 11 Departure from Shanghai

Today is the last day of this 11-day Confucius tour itinerary, and the hotel-airport transfer is arranged by yourself at your own expense. After breakfast, you can hail a taxi at the cost of CNY200 to Hongqiao airport or CNY150 to Pudong airport depending on your schedule. The car ride would take about 1.5 hours or 1 hour respectively.
