Hongkong is located in the Far East, just south of the Tropic of Cancer. Hong Kong Island is 32km (20 miles) east of the mouth of Pearl River and 135km (84 miles) southeast of Canton. It is separated from the mainland by a good natural harbour. Nearly seven million people are crammed into the mere 1,100 square kilometers that make up the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR). Not just a city of skyscrapers, there is also lush countryside and small rural communities.

Opened in January, 1977, Ocean Park is Hong Kong's unique local park with a heritage of delivering family fun and fond memories. It was chosen by Hong Kong citizens as their No.1 favorite scenic spot in Hong Kong in 2005. Recently, it is named one of the "10 Most Popular Amusement Parks in the World".
