Morning trip to Hanging Temple—the only one built on the mountain precipice with Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism sharing the same temple and the famous Wooden Pagoda in Yinxian County—the only wooden pagoda with 1,000 years existent in China and one of four Great Pagodas in the World. After lunch, transfer to Pingyao, on the way, visit Jinci Temple which is one of the most original and oldest in this region of northeastern China, and was recently listed as a state protected sight of cultural heritage.
