Chinanews, Beijing, Sept. ５ – Some tourists from China and South Korea saw “monsters” on Sunday in Xinjiang's Tianchi Lake (Heaven Lake).
Li Jun, a local driver, said that he and other tourists actually saw these “monsters” in the swimming very quickly in the lake. Many tourists rushed to take photos, but they only got blurred images of the “monsters”.
At an altitude of 2,189.1 m, Tianchi is the world's highest crater lake. The lake covers an area of 9.82 sq km with a south-north length of 4.85 km and east-west length of 3.35 kilometers. The lake averages 213m in depth and is 384m at its deepest section.
Many people had claimed seeing “monsters” since the late 1960s, but there had not been any scientific evidence to prove the existence of the “monsters”.
